Everyone wants to visit an undiscovered region before it becomes a hotbed of tourism. By trekking the "Ciudad Perdida" at Teyuna, that honor can definitely be attained. Ciudad Perdida (Spanish for "Lost City") is the archaeological site of an ancient city in Colombia's Sierra Nevada. It is believed to have been founded about 800 AD, some 650 years earlier than Machu Picchu

Sleep in hammocks among local communities while absorbing the unique culture of the area, then trek through lush jungles and across streams before arriving at the ruins of Teyuna. Climb 1200 steps to reach the Lost City of Teyuna, enjoy spectacular jungle scenery along the trek, swim in the cool Buritaca River, watch hummingbirds in the trees from the comfort of a hammock.
Explore the uncrowded ruins at leisure and marvel at what would have been here in years gone by. Say you got here first and had the lost city all to yourself.
