Three Sisters Global Gourmet Cooking School

three Sisiters

The Three Sisters Global Gourmet Cooking School is located in the charming rain forest village of El Valle de Anton about 90 minutes drive from Panama City.  The School was opened by Glenn and Reinhild Gamboa, two expatriate hospitality professionals from the San Francisco and Yosemite California areas with some 60 plus years of varied restaurant experience between them. I was a foodie long before I became a cook and sometimes it's hard for me to understand why others don't share my passion for food. I don't mean the actual construction of the dish but the knowledge of what's in it and how it's made because I'd much rather eat then cook.  To relegate a meal to a simple function like preventative maintenance seems to dehumanize us all .....Gamboa

It's very difficult to reproduce the offerings of a good restaurant at home simply because the home gourmand or gourmet does not have access to the professional appliances, equipment or products that his starred counterpart might. So The Three Sisters Cooking School of Panama is here to teach you how to construct gourmet ethnic meals, from a variety of different cultures, in your own kitchen, with your own equipment, using easily obtained products that will stand up to the scrutiny of any foodie or gourmet.  But perhaps most importantly you'll learn the valuable methodology and shortcuts that otherwise would require decades of experience in a professional kitchen to obtain. Most of the cuisines of the world are based on sacristy and that's why we teach the holy trinity of components, techniques and nuances for each culture. Once you know the culinary pantheon of each cultures foodways it really doesn't matter what you cooking : it will taste "ethnic".

The Three Sisters Cooking School in Panama offers courses in Chinese, Mexican, French, German, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese and Nouveau Panamanian cuisines. Throughout the year we contract and offer custom classes including desserts, artisan breads and hors d' oeurves.  In conjunction with Panama Boutique we can provide a variety of food oriented venues and activities around the republic.  For course descriptions and more information visit www.threesisters.biz and don't forget to say hello to the sisters: Carnita, Sate and Lead Free Barbie-Q.
